**Communications Officer**

**Position**: Communications Officer

**Location**: Brentford / Hybrid - 3 days homeworking per week

**Salary**: Circa £27,000 pa

**Hours**: 35 hours per week

**Contract**: Permanent

**About the Role**

This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the brand of a well-established Christian charity and lead on the delivery of their communications. As Communications Officer you will support the charity’s global strategy and priorities through communications.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Promote and protect the organisation’s brand, contributing to their united identity and global voice
- Make digital content changes for the website, create social media posts and blogs and share communications resources with members of the Global Fellowship
- Manage the Digital Asset library
- Produce general publications and support the development of technical material publications, simplifying scientific language to make it easy to understand.

**About You**

To flourish in this role, you’ll need:

- Previous experience in a communications role.
- Experience of producing and managing timely, appropriate and engaging content for websites and social media
- Experience managing Digital Asset Management Systems, ideally ResourceSpace but training can be provided
- A track record of writing copy for digital
- Experience delivering publications and high quality digital content.

This role is working with an explicitly Christian organisation and will involve representing the Mission’s purpose and ethos to audiences through written materials and others and working within Christian networks. The post holder must be willing to engage with, support and contribute to the Christian ethos and values of the charity. In addition to this as part of this role the post holder will support the work of the Mission through Christian prayer, Christian sessions, and fellowship. You will represent and speak on behalf of a Christian charity and as such the Occupational Requirement for an active Christian faith is justified under the Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9, Part 1, clause 3.
