Bouygues Energies & Services currently has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities Management team working at the National Archives in Kew. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week on a staggered basis of 07.00 to 16.00 / 08.00 to 17.00 / 09.00 to 18.00, Mon to Fri.
**The role**:
- Reporting to the M&E Supervisor
- To provide engineering support to the Hard FM Services department and carry out preventative maintenance to deadline plus maintain paperwork to support PPM activities
- To respond to reactive and emergency faults and carry out reactive maintenance work to comply with KPI’s
- To manage/monitor sub-contractors
- Working 40 hours per week on a staggered basis of 07.00 to 16.00 / 08.00 to 17.00 / 09.00 to 18.00 with a requirement to be part of the out of hours on call rota and able to respond/attend site within one hour of the call.
**The person**:
- Must hold a recognised mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant Mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience.
- Experience and knowledge of air handling units, heating and cooling and humidification systems is essential
- Electrical competent and willingness to attain cross skilling
- IT Literate
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Demonstrate good planning, organising and prioritising skills and able to show examples of using initiative and judgement to resolve problems
- DBS clearance required
