As the HRIT Manager in Europe, you will act as the technical and functional payroll expert.You will lead the configuration of core HR systems for system integrations (payroll, time,etc.). **What you’ll do on a typical day**:

- Create and foster partnerships between HR/Payroll, technology teams, and vendor partners
- Work with HR/Payroll and IT leadership teams to define technical roadmaps and prioritized work queues.
- Provide system design, configuration, customization, integration, testing and support; includes gathering requirements, designing the future state solution, the development objects related to their process scope, as well as supporting testing and post implementationactivities
- Manage the configuration requirements for the payroll systems to meet the business needs while providing best-practice guidance on processes.
- Manage 3rd party delivery (config, development, transports, etc.) and expense controls
- Understand interdependencies and complexities of HR/payroll related activity across the broad spectrum of downstream and upstream vendors and processes
- Oversee creation and management of technical environment landscapes
- Own technical connectivity requirements related to infrastructure, networking, and data centers as applicable
- Manage EU specific integration platforms, including development and support standards, coordinating with infrastructure and Enterprise Architecture team
- Manage local QA Team responsible for testing and identifying issues in GXO’s HR Suite of systems.Team is responsible for designing test strategies, developing test schedules, writing test plans and test cases, and executing against the plan; defect managementand root cause analysis are integral pieces of the QA processes
- Manage staff workload by understanding project requirements, estimating and communicating project schedules, forecasting needed resources and usage, prioritizing, delegating and tracking tasks, supervising work and providing guidance as required to ensurequality changes are released to production, and efficient achievement of team goals
- Solution focused and able to prioritize own workload / work under own initiative, go the extra mile when needed to ensure the project is a success for the team
- Support and manage cultural change associated with system change/implementation projects
- Have a depth understanding of HR/Payroll practices, IT methodologies, and audit/control requirements.Position is responsible for adhering to change controls and development controls.

**What you need to succeed at GXO**:
**At a minimum, you’ll need**:

- Bachelor’s degree required in computer science, business, human resources, or related field
- 5 years of experience in Functional and Technical analysis and administration or HR/payroll products, in addition to system conversions, software integrations.
- Experience running and configuring HR/payroll systems, with experience working with external payroll vendor (SAP, ADP, Peoplesoft preferred).
- Proven 3rd party vendor management for payroll and benefit providers.
- Project management experience.
- Proven experience with running of projects with various teams.

**It’d be great if you also have**:

- Master’s degree required in computer science, business, human resources, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in HRIT analysis and administration (SAP), in addition to system conversions, software integrations or implementations of SAP SuccessFactors EC projects
- Recent and up to date global payroll knowledge and expertise and ability to impart knowledge in a pragmatic, clear and succinct manner to non-experts
