I am working with a lovely Independent school based in the heart of Berkhamsted who are looking for a Special Needs Learning Support Assistant for 1 year fixed term contract.

Are you a Psychology, Sociology or Criminology graduate looking to gain classroom based experience?

This role involves primarily supporting a Key Stage 5 pupil who has an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP) linked to her physical needs and their impact, together with supporting other pupils who have an Educational Health and Care Plan and providingsupport to the Learning Support Department.

The successful applicant must have experience of working with children with SEND preferably in a secondary school environment, along with excellent ICT skills.

**Qualities we look for**:
Experience with young people or adults in any setting

Resilience, confidence, and proactivity

The ability to build rapport with hard to reach young people

You must have an up to date DBS on the update service or willing to take one out.
