We are looking for an animal technician, with experience working with large farm animals, to join our friendly hardworking team within a modern biofacility situated in Cambridge.

The role holder shall provide daily hands on animal care performing general husbandry tasks to look after the welfare requirements of large farm animals (including sheep, pigs and poultry) housed at the facility. The role holder shall be expected to maintain accurate records. Your duties will include general husbandry, daily observations and health monitoring, alongside general hygiene and cleaning tasks. They will have responsibility for breeding management and, in liaison with researchers and senior team members, provide technical assistance with both regulated and non-regulated experimental procedures. You will also support junior technicians, users and performing both regulated and unregulated procedures when required.

You should be positive, reliable and able to interact with team colleagues and research staff. Experience in a technical/laboratory setting, with specific experience working with large farm animals is essential.
