**Role Overview**

Whitehaven Marina, part of the Marina Projects Group, is seeking a friendly and hard-working Dockmaster to join our team. As a Dockmaster at Whitehaven Marina, you will be responsible for assisting the Marina Manager in the overall business and marina and boatyard operations.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide Whitehaven customers with assistance throughout our facilities, to include berthing assistance, fuel dispensing and general customer service around the marina.
- Boat Lifting and Handling - Assist with lifting, launching, cleaning and movement of boats, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
- Equipment Handling - Operate boatyard equipment such as forklifts, telehandlers, our 45 tonne boat hoist, 20 tonne boat mover and pressure washer.
- Carry out maintenance of machinery & craft including groundskeeping tasks to a high standard throughout the marina site.
- Provide assistance to marina customers as needed, ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Safety Compliance - Adhere to all health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar role or in a marine environment is preferred but not essential.
- Basic understanding of boat handling and marina operations is preferred but not essential - full training will be provided. Ability to operate machinery and tools safely.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labour, including lifting, moving heavy objects and able to swim.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well alone and as a part of the team.
- Keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of work.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and to work flexible hours, including weekends and bank holidays

Schedule:
Full time Monday-Friday with occasional weekend work during busy periods.

Pay: £12.21-£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
