Tax Accountant

Our client, a leading professional membership organisation, are currently recruiting for a Tax Accountant to join their growing team based in Milton Keynes.
The Tax Accountant will be responsible for supporting the Tax Manager with the organisation's tax processes, activities and controls, ensuring compliance, in addition to the provision of proactive advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on tax relatedmatters.
They will also support the Financial Controller with all year-end financial accounting tasks including, preparation of the statutory accounts, assistance with the external audit and the provision of ad-hoc financial reporting across the organisation andits subsidiaries.
- Qualified accountant with tax qualification and / or relevant tax experience
- Technically strong (in particular VAT and Partial Exemption)
- Up to date knowledge of accounting standards and filing requirements
- Systems knowledge of tax software such as AlphaTax and CCH
- Strong knowledge of accounting software, preferably Microsoft NAV and D365 CRM
- Articulate and able to explain complex concepts in a simple and succinct manner, both verbally and in writing
