Transport Supervisor required. Our client is a British Furniture Manufacturers. Due to the on-going success and profitable business wins our client requires an experienced Transport Supervisor to join a dynamic and growing team.

As the Transport Supervisor, you will assist in the day to day running of all aspects of the department ensuring Customer Orders are delivered to exacting standards and with the correct documentation meeting any Legal, Health & Safety Requirements. You will also be responsible for liaising with a small team of drivers and third party suppliers to arrange collection and deliveries.

**Transport Supervisor - Position Overview**
- Liaison with Customer Service, Clients, and Suppliers to coordinate deliveries and collections
- Ensure all transport documentation is filed and is legal and in date
- Licence checks are up to date and legal every 6 months.
- Assisting with the Management of Drivers, Carriers and Labour hire
- Preparation of all Customs Documentation including EUR1 forms and export licences
- Ensuring imports and exports follow the correct procedure in accordance with the appropriate legal framework.
- Compliance with HM Custom’s requirements for reporting and identification of products being shipped/received including the correct use of incoterms and commodity codes.

**Transport Supervisor - Position Requirements**
- Proven experience in a Transport / Logistics Supervisor role
- Background within manufacturing /production - highly beneficial
- Knowledge of customs process / documentation - advantages
- Experience within the furniture industry would be highly beneficial
- Strong ‘Man Management’ Skills
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Ability to recognise priorities and work on own initiative
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible approach to duties and tasks
- A determination to clear daily workloads

**Transport Supervisor - Position Remuneration**
- Salary £28,000 - £32,000 (Dependant on experience)
- Monday - Thursday 08:30 - 17:30, Fridays 08:30 - 12:00
- 30 days holiday, including bank holidays

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
