**After School Care Assistant**

**(3.30-5.30, Monday to Friday, Term time only)**

Silcoates is a successful independent co-educational day school with a long and proud history. The school is set in 50 acres of grounds in Wrenthorpe, near Wakefield, within easy reach of the M1 and M62, offering an all-through, fully co-educational day school experience for children from 3 to 18.

We are currently looking for After School Care Assistant.

This is an opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, childcare workers or those looking to develop a career in education to work in our Junior School. You will largely be based in Reception or Key Stage 1 and will be responsible for providing support in our after-school care provision after the end of the school day. Duties may include supervising homework or assisting in various after school activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for suitably experienced and enthusiastic practitioners looking to work part time hours and develop experience in a high-quality environment.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate relevant experience and have an enthusiasm for working with children of junior school age. You will be expected to play a full part in the co-curricular life of the school. You should be able to demonstrate familiarity with appropriate learning strategies, for example in numeracy and literacy, as well as behaviour management techniques, and be able to develop good relationships with our children and their parents.

- £4,548 (Actual salary, Monday to Friday 3.30-5.30, ten hours per week, term time only)**
