Senior Management Accountant

JSS Search’s Public Sector division are pleased to be supporting a Public Sector organisation, based in Liverpool, in their search for a permanent Senior Management Accountant. The organisation has adopted a hybrid working pattern with the expectation toattend their offices 2 days a week.
**Specific responsibilities include**:
- Providing advice of a range of budgeting, accounting and reporting issues to support the senior management team.
- Provide financial management, control and reporting to help prepare the overall budget, and monthly forecasting.
- Support with detailed quarterly financial performance reviews to ensure Senior Leaders and the executive committee have high quality information on which to base their decisions.
- Working with budget holders, Finance and HR and others involved with governance, ensuring information is accurate and assumptions are analysed and challenged appropriately.
- Management of a small finance team, ensuring effective coaching and leadership.
- Be CCAB (e.g. CIMA, ACCA) qualified or part qualified accountant that is actively working towards qualifying in the near future.
- Have proven experience of preparing and producing financial plans and management accounts.
- Be an advance user of Excel or other financial modelling/analysis systems/products
- Have experience of managing a small team directly or in-directly.
