**Principal Consultant - Sustainability**

Climate17 is working with a global certification, assurance and risk management organisation committed to helping its clients achieve their strategic sustainability goals. They operate in over 100 countries setting industry benchmarks and providing inspirationalsolutions for many businesses and large corporations in varying sectors.

Here is an opportunity to join their successful team of ESG experts as a Principal Consultant to help drive sustainability performance in a collective contribution to the UN SDG's.

**Responsibilities**

As an expert in your field, you will drive the growth of sales and delivery across a range of sustainability services including, sustainability report assurance, sustainable finance consulting, digital assurance, supply chain transparency and risk management,climate change and ESG strategy.

By leading project teams your efforts will directly help to grow the business with key activities:

- Identify customer needs and develop tailored solutions, offering these to new and existing clients.
- Lead on projects, ensuring they are delivered to clients' expectations and meet time, budget and internal quality standards.
- Manage and communicate effectively with project teams and clients.
- Introducing services to new clients and exploring new services to existing clients.
- Motivate and create thought leadership insight and content for the team.
- Engage, attend and present information to clients, take part and speak publicly to promote and generate the correct profile and market engagement.

**Requirements**:

- A past track record of leading and delivering consulting services, working as a trusted advisor and thought leader in ESG/sustainability. With a demonstrable history in leading sales and business development activity for ESG & sustainability services
- Experienced project/team leader, proud to deliver a high level of service.
- Previously delegated tasks, offering guidance, support and feedback on performance to team members.
- Has had line management responsibility for Consultants and Senior Consultants, providing coaching and feeding into their professional development.
- Willingness to travel and work around the UK and on occasions overseas as required.
