**Risk Consultant - Remote / work from home opportunity**

Gallagher Bassett’s successful Risk Consulting Division are seeking a Risk Consultant to join their team. The purpose of this role is to provide a wide range of risk management consultancy services to our clients. The role will also include assisting theRisk Consulting Manager and Director of Risk Consulting in developing and promoting new services and products for clients.

The successful applicant will service clients in South-West England inclusive of the Western Home Counties, Midlands and Wales.

Primary Responsibilities:

- To provide a wide range of risk management consultancy services to clients.
- To assist the Risk Consulting Manager and Director of Risk Consulting in developing and promoting new services and products.
- To maintain administrative systems for recording and monitoring consultancy work completed.
- Take responsibility as the main contact and provider of risk control services for named clients.
- Promote and encourage the uptake of a wide range of risk control services to meet targets set.
- Ensure that work completed is to the client's satisfaction.
- Conduct a wide range of risk management and general liability appraisals and reviews resulting in practical risk control recommendations.
- Produce well written detailed reports and be able to present the findings of reports to clients as required.
- Undertake statistical analysis of computer databases on claims information and produce risk control reports for clients based on this information.
- Prepare proposals to clients on a range of services.
- Operate and maintain efficient administrative systems for arranging and managing operational consultancy work, providing update reports as requested.
- Oversee the work of Associate Consultants to ensure high standards of content and quality are maintained and to provide guidance and assistance where necessary.

Essential Skills
- NEBOSH / IOSH Qualification
- Understanding and knowledge of legal liability principles and legal process.
- Understanding and knowledge of general insurance principles, including the rationale behind self-insurance.
- Detailed understanding and knowledge of company specific procedures relevant to the Risk Control Division.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to persuade and influence at the highest levels and to present training courses, seminars etc. to a high standard.
- Able to prepare detailed, clear, concise, written reports.
- Able to develop detailed and clear training.
- Able to undertake basic statistical analysis of data.
- Able to develop and maintain good working relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Good administrative and time management skills, able to organise workload and diaries to achieve objectives and to work without direct supervision.
- Able to maintain accurate records.
