Assistant Radwaste Supervisor

- **EQUANS is recruiting for an Assistant Radwaste Supervisor (Chargehand, Cleaner), to be based in EDF Sizewell IP16 4UR. This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary.**:
**Shift Times**

Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 16:30
Friday 08:00 - 14:00

**What you will deliver**:
The Radwaste Chargehand will be responsible for leading and motivating the Radwaste team to carry out defined services within the RCA and Radwaste (cleaning of tanks, processing radioactive waste) and to ensure work areas are cleaned to the expected standard.
- Providing support and supervision to the radwaste team
- Act as a Radiation Protection Supervisor
- To be able to organise a team and allocate staff to tasks accordingly
- Ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to
- Support statutory and unplanned outages with additional hours as required
- Ensure appropriate risk assessments are undertaken on all work
- Liaise with the client to work through contract specification and any associated KPI’s to include weekly reporting
- Management of absence and holidays for the radwaste team
- Carrying out regular observations to ensure the highest standards are achieved
- Attend meetings as required
- Establish a good working relationship with your team members, and when required provide guidance to others
- Identify and report areas and procedures that fail to meet expected standards

**Who are we looking for?**:

- NVQ Level 1 in Cleaning walls, fixtures and fittings / BICS Level 1
- Experience of cleaning services and a good understanding of COSHH regulations
- Experience of working in a supervisory role preferred
- Experience of working with plant or in a radiological environment preferred
