Logistics Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to join our busy outside catering company based in Grange-over-Sands. No experience is necessary a willingness to learn and working well as part of a team.

We are local family business and we're looking for someone to join the team part time. The advertised rate is for part time employment but we're also open to anyone self employed/free lance.

Applicants must be friendly, work well as part of a team and be willing to get involved in other areas of the business at times if required.

**No split shifts. We are closed for Christmas/New Year so guaranteed Christmas holidays.**

Applicants must be 18 or over but please bear in mind there is some heavy lifting involved.

The job will include:

- Loading/unloading van with catering equipment at different venues throughout Cumbria
- General maintenance of equipment
- Towing food truck to/from events
- Completing equipment packing lists and packing from our warehouse.
- Dropping off ovens/equipment at different venue locations. Setting up ovens, setting up food truck, power distribution. Liaising with the venue.
- Collecting ovens/equipment after events
- Cleaning/maintenance of catering equipment
- Ordering gas
- Ordering wood for pizza van
- Managing kitchen porters washing equipment and assisting with washing equipment if required
- Painting/maintenance at unit
- Organising repairs where needed
- Maintaining vehicles - filling up with fuel, washing, arranging servicing

Essential skills:

- UK manual driving license

Bonus skills which would be appreciated (but not essential):

- Experience driving with trailers
- Catering/hospitality experience
- Mechanical experience

**Salary**: From £14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 30 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
