Leeds, United Kingdom NSPCC Full time

Every childhood is worth fighting for. This is our belief. It drives us. And it's the reason our Children's Services team push themselves to transform the lives of children and families - in person, in our regional hubs, and through the knowledge they share. Join us as a Children's Service Practitioner and make a contribution that means everything.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the NSPCC regional hub based in Leeds for an enthusiastic and dynamic social worker to join our team, where you will have the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge and expertise delivering a range of services, contributing to the wellbeing and safety of children and young people and their carers.

As a Children's Services Practitioner you will be responsible for providing direct services, plan and deliver services, contribute to their evaluation, work in partnership with other agencies and involve service users in planning, decision making and evaluation.

In this role you will contribute to service development not only in terms of direct work but also be able to get involved in evaluation, influencing and dissemination of learning and have the opportunity to be part of an exciting new strategy to help end cruelty to children. You will also contribute to the delivery of local campaigns and work alongside our School's Service team to reach more children, young people and families.

We are looking for a Social Worker who wants to work constructively and creatively with a real passion for enhancing the life chances of children and young people and their parents/carers who has the ability to plan and deliver appropriate programmes of work with individuals, families and groups who has:

- the ability to assess risk and need
- experience of child protection intervention
- up to date knowledge of legislation, research and best practice
- the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of their own practice.

In return, you will have the opportunity to engage in a range of new projects and developments, have a manageable caseload, excellent training and development opportunities and be supervised and supported by a Team Manager with knowledge and experience of practice, who will show a real commitment to enabling you to achieve your potential.

Join us and you'll become part of a team that cares about the work they do and the people they work with. You'll discover opportunities to grow, along with challenges and a shared purpose that'll bring the best out in you. And you'll get to find your own way to make a difference that means more, and that impacts millions of young lives.
