**Job Description**:
We have an exciting opportunity for an Acoustic Consultant to join the AECOM Acoustics team in Cambridge, working with and supporting senior colleagues on a wide range of acoustics projects. Whilst our preference would be Cambridge, other offices throughout UK and Ireland may also be considered.

You will contribute to a wide range of sound, noise, and vibration projects, with a focus on environmental acoustics, but ability to contribute to building acoustics projects is also desirable.

We have an enviable project portfolio across all market sectors, which provides a wide range of career development opportunities. We advise clients on building, environmental and occupational acoustics, noise mapping, vibration, industrial noise control, audio-visual design and auralisation. A member of the Association of Noise Consultants and Sponsor of the Institute of Acoustics, AECOM Acoustics has a team of over 50 acousticians working across eight offices throughout the UK.

As a member of our Acoustics team you can expect to work on a wide range of interesting and challenging projects including some of the biggest projects in the UK. Recent and current clients include Battersea Power Station, Houses of Parliament, HMRC, BBC, Guys and St Thomas’s, HS2, Defra, EDF, Thames Water, Highways England, and Shell.

**Qualifications**:
The appropriate level of expertise is required in order that the Job / Project Accountabilities listed below can be carried out to the necessary standard:

- The individual would have excellent technical, project management, presentation, report writing, commercial, personal organisation and communication skills.
- They would be expected to undertake, oversee and technically review noise modelling using software such as CATT, Insul, EASE, SketchUp and CadnaA.
- They would also be expected to undertake a range of site measurements and testing, data analysis, predictions and write and technically review reports on a range of projects. Experience of displaying and manipulating datasets in GIS software would also be beneficial.
- The role will be involve collaborative working with the full team of over 40 acoustics consultants based in offices throughout the UK. There will be the need to visit sites and meetings across the UK and work away from home for short periods, potentially including overseas.
