**Dawson Levy Resourcing**currently have an excellent opportunity for a Head of Quality Assurance & Standards to join a leading Water Organisation on a permanent basis. Your main base will be Reading but this is a Hybrid role so you can belocated anywhere in or around the London area.

**Job Purpose Summary**

To provide leadership across the business in current and future WQ legislation and regulation. Taking ownership for engagement with key external stakeholders up to a senior level including DEFRA the DWI, WaterUK, UKWIR. Ensuring engagement in industry forumsat an appropriate level to provide insight to feed into business planning and operational activities. Taking ownership, the management of WQ policy and standards within the business, ensuring documentation supports delivery of business vision with respectto the WQ, provides a comprehensive framework to support operational activity and meets regulatory requirements e.g., DWSPA requirements.

**Main Accountabilities**
- Represent the company and develop relationships at a senior level (government bodies, water companies and other key stakeholders) in order to deliver objectives, influence future requirements and enhance the companies' brand. Take a lead on Environmental
- Participate in WaterUK activity. Lead participation of technical representatives on key industry Task and Finish groups. Ensure relevant information is disseminated within the business to appropriate individuals and forums to inform operational change requirementsand business planning purposes e.g., Price Review
- Lead governance activity associated with delivery of the DWSP - ensuring effective business reporting through appropriate forums up to Exec level and timely escalation of business risk.
- Taking ownership, the management of WQ policy and standards within the business:

- Ensuring policies and standards support delivery of business vision with respect to WQ, provide a comprehensive framework to support operational activity and meets regulatory requirements e.g., DWSPA
- Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to within area of accountability
- People management
- Adherence to HR policies and procedures
- Recruitment, training and development of team
- Cost centre management

**Skills, qualifications, experience - minimum required**
- Degree / Post-graduate level education in a relevant scientific discipline
- Scientific Chartership through a relevant awarding body desirable (or working toward).
- Significant experience in the field of WQ Regulation
- Experience of leadership, change management & people management
- Highly developed communication and influencing skills - written and verbal
- Significant competent with the use of complex IT systems and standard office software.
