Here at**Langdons**,we havean exciting opportunity for a **Workshop Technician **to join the team based at our**Motherwell depot.**You will be working on a **fulltime, permanent** basis working Monday - Friday 06:00 - 14:00 (week 1) and 14:00 - 22:00 (week 2). In return you’ll receive a **competitive salary of £35,169 per annum.**

**The Workshop Technicianrole**:
Your role will be to ensure the company fleet is effectively serviced and repaired on a cost-effective and timely basis.
**What you’ll be doing as our Workshop Technician**:
- You will ensure vehicles are repaired and maintained appropriately
- Prepare and present vehicles and trailers for MOT inspections
- Identify vehicle-related defects using available diagnostic equipment and arrange for relevant action to be taken
- Liaise with vehicle manufacturers regarding parts and replacement vehicles
- Ensure high levels of safety and cleanliness at all times
- Update and maintain records and ensure information is shared with relevant departments on a timely basis
**What qualifications and experience are we looking for in our Workshop Technician ?**
- Hold a full driving licence
- Qualified to Level 3 or equivalent in HGV/LGV maintenance and repair
- Experienced in using transport repair tools and associated software
- Experienced in following procedures and problem-solving
- Able to make sound judgements where not all information is available

- Ability to compile, analyse and interpret relevant data
- Ability to use initiative and organise your work so that key tasks can be completed fully and on time
- Ability to work to set targets and deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven arithmetic skills
- High attention to detail
- Confident to challenge working practices where necessary in the right manner and on a timely basis
- Able to remain calm under pressure and be able to deal with difficult customer conversations
- Be prepared to travel to and assist workshop colleagues at other depots
- Able to participate in an on-call rota and attend emergency call-outs where required
