**FARM SHOP RETAIL SALES ASSISTANT**

**LETS GET A TASTE FOR THE ROLE**
Working alongside the Shop Manager in the day to day running of the shop involves:
- Ensuring an exceptional customer experience when assisting customers face-to-face in the shop or by phone.
- Display and management of fresh and ambient foods.
- Accurate till work and cash handling.
- Stock management, rotation and wastage control.
- Appealing product display and working to shop targets.
- Ensuring the company health & safety and food hygiene standards are met.
- General duties including accepting deliveries, moving stock and cleaning.
**OUR IDEAL RETAIL SALES ASSISTANT MUST HAVE**:
- Relevant food, retail or customer service experience.
- Excellent people and communication skills to deliver outstanding levels of service in this customer facing role.
- A strong team player, eager to learn, honest and hardworking but also able to work on your own initiative.
- An enthusiastic and flexible approach with a ‘can-do’ attitude and good work ethic, you will be organised and take pride in your work.
- Trustworthy and reliable as you will be an important part of a small team.
- **NOTE**:The role involves some lifting.
**THE HOURS**:
- Hours average 3-4 days/week (approx 30+hrs/week) between 8.30am to 5.30pm, including alternate weekends by rota. Please note our working day is 8-9 hours long and we are open Tuesday - Sunday.
- Extra hours/days will be expected at busy times for example the run up to Christmas and holiday/sickness cover.
- The ability to step up to supervisor at the weekend would be a bonus (but not essential) with increased remuneration.

**THE RETAIL SALES ASSISTANT ROLE OFFERS**:
- **A permanent part time position.**:
- Paid breaks (you are paid the whole time you are at work).

- Staff uniform.
- On the job training/up skilling will be given and we are open to you gaining a formal qualification/apprenticeship.
