Located in Clayton-le-Moors, Lancashire we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate **Casual Funeral Service Operative** to join our funeral home team.
The position encompasses a range of responsibilities, including:
- Driving on funerals
- Vehicle valeting
- Pall bearing
- Out of hours on-call and Saturday morning rotations
- Coffin preparation
- Hospital and private residence collections and supporting other members of staff.
This is a physically demanding role. A full clean driving licence is essential. Full training and a uniform will be supplied.

- Physically fit
- Confident driver with full clean driving licence
- Caring and compassionate with people
- Self motivated
- A calm and reassuring demeanour
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently or with a team
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to multitask and wear many hats
**Job Type**: Zero hours contract
**Salary**: £12.00-£20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
