Stores and Goods In Operative, permanent vacancy based Swindon, working Monday to Friday, 8am until 5.45pm, 45 hours per week. You will receive an annual salary of £23,400 plus an annual bonus of 3% of salary, 25 days holiday, bank holidays, company pensionscheme, life assurance and private healthcare upon completion of probation period. We are looking for an experienced Stores and Goods In Operative, with current RTITB Fork Lift Licenses (Counter Balance and Reach) plus a minimum of 2 years previous storesand warehouse experience.

Working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, your primary objective is to control the flow of goods in, maintaining sufficient stock to ensure the flow of production, ensuring that materials required for production are allocated to production on a dailybasis. This is a busy and varied role and will include working as part of a busy warehouse team, communicating with the Production Scheduler, the purchasing team and wider manufacturing operation to ensure that goods are received, correctly distributed andplaced in the appropriate location.

As a Stores and Goods In Operative, you will assist in the kitting area, which includes the bundling of multiple items, pre-assembling and boxing in preparation for customer shipment. The need to check stock levels and materials by means of a computerisedsystem is key to this role, therefore a good level of PC skills is required plus the ability to check written and numerical instructions on customer orders. Using a Fork Lift Truck includes the need to move stock and items around the warehouse for goods in,stock movement and placement. Naturally the role does involve the movement and lifting of packaged goods and boxes.

This role offers great career development, the chance to use all of your warehouse and Fork Lift skills, whilst developing new skills and work experience. You will need excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, plus the need to use MS Office(Word and Outlook) when communicating with the wider team.
