As the Digital Design Lead, you will be at the forefront of leading design across Camden’s digital estate, playing a critical part in the redesign of complex, interdependent services, working in the open with the user at the centre of all you do, includingworking across multiple teams and across all channels within a service.

**About the role**

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team and reporting to the Head of Digital Products and Services, this is a senior management role. The role of the Digital Design Lead is to oversee design across Camden’s digital estate, supporting them to deliver21st century services based on a clear understanding of citizens’ needs.

You will play a senior advisory role across a number of teams and key focus areas across Camden, helping to transform the Council’s approach to service development, ensuring that citizen’ needs are at the centre of their approach. The role will lead productand content design and user research practice, building the culture and ways of working of new multidisciplinary teams which will support a radical shift in their ability to solve complex social and economic challenges.

**About you**

You will have a passion for Digital Design and experience of managing designers and researchers thoroughly understanding the users’ needs that inform ongoing development of products. As well as managing a team, you will have great judgment and insight fromyour own practical design work which will have included products developed across platforms for diverse audiences. - Experience working and leading multidisciplinary teams to design, build and improve digital products and services of which they are a critical part
- Highly skilled at creating high fidelity prototypes and interactions to help service areas understand the possibilities of transformation using different prototyping methods for different needs to help services understand how to make prototypes turn intoservices.
- Proven expertise in use of software packages and platforms including but not limited to Azure, Figma and Photoshop with demonstratable experience of building highly accessible (at least AA) products.
- Proven experience of building positive relationships with a range of both internal and external stakeholders
- Experience coaching people in a non-agile organisation on how to embrace design and user focus
