CSS Machines are a major part of our business transformation plan to introduce walk sequencing. This is key in helping Royal Mail remain competitive in the UK Mails market.

The focus on optimising the letter sortation is driving demand for additional processing capacity/operators.

As a CSS machine operator you will be using the machines to sequence mail for a number of Delivery Offices. This means the role has a big impact on quality and customer service across those offices.

You will join the CSS team at an exciting time for the business with a new product being launched. The new product provides customers with more choice by offering another stream of affordable products and will help protect letters revenue.

You need to be able to carry out your work in a safe way. Ensure machines are run as efficiently as possible and perform against targets. You must also be able to contribute to the achievement of quality and customer service targets for the unit, and any satellite offices. You must be able to complete a work plan on a daily basis, and make sure walk sequenced mail is available on time for despatch to satellite offices or for preparation in the MPU.

**Pay and Benefits**

We offer the following weekly Allowances (over 5 nights, pro-rata if fewer nights worked):

- Shift Allowances & Advance Total Production Maintenance (TPM) allowance are payable

**Hours of work**:35 hours per week. Attendance pattern varies from 23:15 - 06:39, Sunday to Friday (will require some flexibility), 5 days rolling night off.

Flexibility is essential as start and finish times may vary depending on workload, and you may also be required to work in other offices in the area.
