At Pivot we believe children deserve better. In our academies we teach and support children and young people from Key Stages 2 - 5 who have been excluded from school, for whom mainstream education is simply not working, or those with an EHCP who require a specialist placement. Every day our teams do incredible work, making a huge difference to some complex and challenging children, many of whom come to us with some traumatic backgrounds.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated, resilient and experienced SENCo to join our Pivot 6 team. Our Pivot 6 provision offers specialist support for KS4 learners who have been permanently excluded from mainstream school. Our aim in Pivot 6 is to support learners academically and socially to prepare them for transition back into mainstream school. Our provision is currently based over two sites, in Bradley, Huddersfield and Wibsey, Bradford; travel between the two sites is approx. 15 minutes.

As the SENCo, you will be responsible for the strategic direction and development of the SEN provision at Pivot 6 and exercise a key role in assisting with the SEND policy, including undertaking a high level of quality assurance. This role would suit an experienced classroom practitioner who has previously supported in developing a curriculum to ensure unmet needs are addressed.
