Evolution Foods is the UK’s leading independent supplier of fruit and nuts.

We are a leading UK based producer of a wide range of high quality, value adding, functional ready to eat snacking foods and baking ingredients into the Retail sector.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager the Production Scheduler is responsible for assisting in and maintaining an efficient short-term production plan to meet customer requirements and maximise production efficiency. As well as responsibility for ensuring that a continual supply of materials is called off and transferred from third party warehouses to be available onsite to meet production schedules and customer demands. To maintain our ERP system with all Bill of Materials

This role requires extensive communication with various functions within the business including Warehouse, Production, procurement and Technical. It requires an eye for detail and ability to organise and manage the ordering processes for the business as well as the supplier relationships.

**The role of Production Planner**:

- Scheduling of short-term production plans to meet customer demands
- To create and maintain production orders / documents within the ERP system
- Call off raw materials and packaging from external warehousing via the system to meet production schedules
- Creation & Maintenance of all bills of materials within the ERP System
- Liaise with suppliers regarding material availability, lead times and faulty goods
- Create and Maintain purchase order with packaging suppliers
- Responsible for providing accurate and timely information for planning purposes
- Liaising with various functions within the business including Warehouse, Technical, Finance and Production. Provide cover within the department as required

**The ideal Production Planner will have the following skills & experience**:

- Proven planning experience or experience as an Production scheduler / planner
- Customer orientated and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft & Google packages
- SAP B1 experience preferable but not essential as full training will be given
- A conscientious approach with attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and works well under pressure
- Able to work as an individual or part of a team
