Apprentice Mechanic

**Job Summary**
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Mechanic to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals who are eager to learn and develop their skills in automotive repair and maintenance. As an Apprentice Mechanic, you will work under the guidance of experienced mechanics, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to the efficient operation of our workshop.

**Duties**
- Assist in diagnosing mechanical issues in vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre replacement, and brake inspections.
- Support senior mechanics in repairing and replacing faulty components.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Learn to use various tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while working on vehicles.
- Digitally document work performed and maintain accurate records of repairs and services.

**Requirements**:

- A keen interest in mechanics and automotive technology.
- Basic understanding of vehicle systems is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues.
- Proficient in using computer systems for reporting and diagnosis.
- A valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: £7.50 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
