Fish Fryer

**Job description**

For this role you MUST have experience of Fish Frying or have experience of working within the food industry - a strong Customer Service attitude if also essential.
- You must be experienced within the Fish & Chip industry (or food industry) and ideally have a minimum of two years working experience
- Your characteristics must suit to working within a very busy food environment, you need to be able to manage your workload efficiently, time manage effectively and to be able to work to tight deadlines.
- You will need to effectively manage members of the team whilst working on shift
- Attention to detail and quality is essential as it is always about the continuity of the product as well as presentation, as we pride ourselves on providing the highest standard of quality at all times.
- You must have a good knowledge of Health & Hygiene, and most importantly Health & Safety

Your overall duties for being a Fish Fryer will consist of the following:

- Frying food items with a 4 pan ranges, a good level of adaptability is required for your quantities over the busy periods.
- Preparation and cutting of fish products, this will be on each shift as these duties are conducted on a morning and during the day.
- Making of batter and following all cooking procedures for each item of food.
- Manage members of staff within the Takeaway area
- Stock checking, ordering of fish, stock in general - i.e. potatoes, etc.
- Cleaning during each shift and cleaning the pans at the end of each night shift.
- Closing down and opening up of the business, money handling, etc.

Hours for the role will vary between day shifts and night shifts, and from week days to weekends, however set shifts can be organised for each individual.
