Grade 4 - Business Support Officer/Administrator
I am looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Business Support Officer to help to play an integral part in the Highways District Lead Team.
This is a full time post working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday,
The role will support the established operational highways team and manager. You could be really experienced in administration or looking to build on your previous experience and there is no better place to do this than with us.
We are working a combination of home and office working; therefore, you will be required to have a suitable working space within your home and broadband connection.
What we are looking for:
Passion - You'll be passionate about delivering a great service and experience, it's what will motivate you, getting it right first time, asking for support when you need it and building on the skills that you've developed elsewhere.
Knowledge and Experience - Ideally you will have experience of working within an administration setting and have knowledge of using Microsoft packages and databases.
Great Communication - You'll be engaging and providing advice to the Team Managers and Team Leader, as well as communicating with the whole team on a daily basis, so being able to clearly communicate the information you need and listen to individual requirements is key.
To provide direct business support for Highways District Lead Team, working closely with operational staff, managers and customers in a fast paced environment, some duties may include the following:
- Managing the team's mailbox - ensuring nothing goes out of the 48hr service level agreement
- Where required adding incoming mail to the relevant VIP
- Updating the Winter Bulletin
- Update and extract information from systems.
- Assisting with the collection and collation of information relevant to the Service.
- Providing business support for meetings, which could include arranging dates, room bookings and preparing agendas, or note taking
- Assisting with the collection and collation of statistics, data, or other Management Information
- Managing your own workload in order to meet required deadlines
- Maintaining electronic records and filing systems
- Liaising with external and internal customers
- Printing and scanning documents
- Handling incoming and outgoing communication
- Undertake other similar duties/responsibilities as required and appropriate to the grade
