**Job Description**: Job Title: Production Operative Location: St Helens (WA9 3AL) **Salary**: £10.20 p/hr Shifts : Mon - Fri (8hrs per day) - flexible hours between 6am - 18:30hrs Contract : Temp ongoing with a view to going permanent The Company Our client who has been operating for over 60 years is looking for an experienced Production Operative. Reporting to the Production Supervisor you will be responsible for accurately measuring and cutting steel to correct lengths. As a Production Operative, your duties will be: " Read and interpret basic blueprints/measurements. " Complete daily stock inventory counts/reports. " Unload raw materials from trucks and store material. " Uses hydraulic press for bending of material as appropriate. " Maintain equipment and ensure work area is always clean and safe. " Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. The ideal Production Operative will hold the following skills and experiences: " Experience working in a production/engineering environment is ideal. " Experience/knowledge of working with trade tools/equipment, tape measures, hand tools would be beneficial, however, full training would be given. " Work well within in a team. " Good communication skills.
