**HOMELESS PREVENTION WORKER**

**LOCATION**:Pembrokeshire (hybrid)

**DURATION**: Temporary

**HOURS**: 37 Hours, Monday-Friday 9-5

**SALARY**: £15.11 (umbrella)

An esteemed Housing Organisation who successfully delivers a number of temporary accommodation and tenancy support services across Wales is looking for a skilled Homeless Prevention Worker to join their team in Pembrokeshire. Joining a high performing team, you will be at the forefront of the charities mission to combat and prevent homelessness and ensure every individual is living comfortably.

Primarily, you will be visiting service users in their homes to provide detailed and specific advice to individuals surrounding benefit entitlement, housing options, debt management and maximising income. You will assess the needs of each case and work with clients to develop personalised support plans that empower individuals to make informed choices that affect them. Furthermore, you will act as an advocate for individuals when required, supporting them with appealing decisions and preparing for court hearings.

Our client is looking for someone who understands the challenges faced by people who are threatened with homelessness, homeless or have difficulties in managing a tenancy. You will need to have knowledge of the welfare benefits system and have the autonomy to manage your own workload.

In return you will be entitled to a competitive hourly rate, weekly pay, business mileage and remote working. Although initially temporary, if successful in the position you may benefit from permanent opportunities within the service
