The Mobile Kitchen Surveyor is the first IKS representative that the customer invites into their home as they start the journey of planning and purchasing a kitchen, and having it installed. You are responsible for instilling confidence to the customer by accurately measuring and drawing out the installation space in the customer’s home. They begin the installation conversation and conversion by representing IKS and IKEA using the core values. The individual in this role is key to a successful customer journey by setting a foundation that planners, coordinators, and installers will build upon.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
- Arrive on time at customer’s home with proper tools for preset measure appointments.
- Make onsite visits for the purpose of measuring prospective installation spaces and communicating these measurements in accordance with Company policy.
- Setting expectations with customers on installtion roadmap and ensuring proper handoff.
- Accurately measure, interpret and draw out installation space and upload the data in a timely manner and within the Company requirements using Company technology.
- Review and assess the layout of the kitchen with customers to ensure all components are correct and all measurements are accurate.
- Improving our customer satisfaction with customer and Installation Service Provider drop-ins to assess quality and safety standards and be available to collect and deliver stock between IKEA and Installers.
- Maintain IKEA product knowledge to ask questions and provide the Planning team with a list of ‘must haves’ and ‘would like to have’ information.
- Support the Company by securing high quality services, in a cost and time effective way.
- Complete all training requests by Company and perform such training in accordance with requirements of Company.
- Customer service experience is essential.
- Space layout and previous measuring experience preferred; however full training will be given.
- Understanding architectural design principles desired.

- Highly organized and flexible as business dictates.
- Ability to multitask and meet changing deadlines.
- Must be self-directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision.
Ability to plan, predict, and anticipate future needs and act proactively.
- Ability to see the relation between details and the bigger picture and prioritise accordingly.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Valid driver’s license, current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation. You will be reimbursed for travel as per the IKEA Travel Policy.

COMPENSATION:
**Salary**: £20,485.80 and 45p per mile (for the first 10,000 and 25p per mile thereafter). £5.00 max per day meal allowance (if working full-time).

The standard work environment for this position is an indoors, home-based environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently sit, talk, or listen, and will occasionally stoop, kneel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift 10 pounds.
