The University of South Wales has an exciting opportunity for a Registry Officer to join Academic Registry to support the operational activity in a dynamic and busy department.

Academic Registry is one of the University of South Wales' (USW) key professional services departments, delivering high-quality administrative, logístical, and information services for students throughout their studies, from enrolment to graduation. We oversee academic quality assurance, enhancement, and the administrative services that underpin the University’s curriculum and student journey.

You will work in partnership with Faculties, Professional Services Departments, and other teams in Academic Registry in the delivery of services. Registry Officers are responsible for delivering work across the Academic Registry that underpins the student journey. Within different teams, specific activities will vary, but Registry Officers will be expected to have a key functional responsibility and a liaison role in relation to that function and/or the faculty. The primary focus of activity will be on maintaining the current course file set up within the existing Student Record System, supporting project activity and the data cleanse activity that is required to implement the new Student Record System. The course file accuracy is essential in a student record system as it ensures the integrity of student academic records, supports student record tracking, and enables effective course registration and monitoring.

**About you**: To be successful in this role, you will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to work accurately and quickly to plan key activities, complete complex tasks and meet deadlines. We require an individual who is proactive, self motivated with a positive approach. An individual who is a team player with a customer first mindset by building key customer and colleague relationships to ensure successful delivery of services to students, faculties and partners. Someone who is able to work as part of a team and with excellent written and verbal communication skills and organisational skills.

**Our people**: Our people are our most important resource. Our aim is to enable staff to develop careers within Academic Registry and across the wider HE sector, offering developmental and career enhancing opportunities. We embrace the University’s Core Values and the Association of University Administrators ‘Professional Behaviors Framework’.

USW is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. All those working at the University are expected to share this commitment.
