- Previous Support Work experience
**A day in the life of a Support Worker**
In this role you will support young adults with autism, learning disabilities and complex behaviours to lead fulfilling and independent lives, this will include**:
- ** Companionship**:
- providing support, companionship, communication and engagement
- ** Personal care** - supporting with a wash, bath or shower and supporting the client with dressing and oral care.
- ** Meals** - supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages.
- ** Domestic tasks** - light cleaning tasks.
- ** Mobility**:
- supporting the client to live as independently as possible.
- ** Social activities**:
- trips out, social engagements and activities within their home or the service.
This role is likely to require some weekends and some sleep in shifts.
