Barristers Clerk

My client are an established legal establishment looking to recruit a Barristers Clerk for the purposes of an 18 month Fixed Term Contract.
This role will provide proactive, high-level support to the Barristers Team, promoting the team brand, reducing administration, taking ownership of diary management, and ensuring that client expectations are exceeded.
As part of the Barristers team, you will undertake a varied and busy role.
You will:
- Managing instructions and diaries for all team members
- Liaising with clients internally and externally to book barristers and advocates for hearings
- Managing diaries - ensuring all cases are covered and diaries are updated with next hearing dates
- Liaising with listing officers, including moving cases and making representations as required
- Where external Counsel is instructed, ensure that all relevant papers are identified and sent Recording Client feedback Client liaison
- Agreeing appropriate fixed fees and ensuring they are recovered in full.
- Identifying new work streams internally and externally and liaising with relevant people to collaborate with them by showcasing the Barristers Team offering
- Developing the Barrister Team offering across the firm in all sectors and offices
- Representing the team at internal meetings
- Managing/ delegating to the junior clerk and/or support team
- Booking training events/seminars
- Coordinating the team’s submission to Chambers & Legal 500 directories
**Applicants MUST demonstrable experience of Barristers clerking and/or billing or relevant Legal experience.**
