As Merchandiser you’ll create planograms for our store teams that are easy to understand, implement and adhere to our merchandising principles. If you’re looking to embark on a career in merchandising, work with new and exciting products, and create visually appealing planograms whilst supporting the range analysts to deliver ranging activity, then this role could be what you’re looking for

You’ll use your experience and knowledge to work alongside the cross functional team which includes the trading assistants, buyers and supply chain to ensure that we have the most credible and appealing ranges for customers across all of our stores.

Once ranging decisions/changes have been finalised, the merchandiser is also responsible for updating our supply chain colleagues regarding any stock changes. The merchandiser in essence becomes the central contact for any store or supplier queries regarding their planograms.

**As a Merchandiser you’ll**:

- Communicate and work with numerous stakeholders and categories across the business
- Use organisation and time management skills to meet deadlines on various tasks as you’ll be working with varying teams. Being on top of your workload is key, but also knowing when to communicate that deadline cannot be achieved
- Have visual awareness and will know the simple principles of what good merchandising looks like
- Data handling with the use of merchandising software (JDA or alternative) and excel which are used on a daily basis. These skills are desirable, but not essential and can be trained on the job
- Preferably have previous experience in retail, working with and implementing planograms in stores but this is not an essential
- Create planograms that strike the right balance between the expectations of the customer and the objectives of the category through demonstrating attention to detail

- Understanding of how customers shop/ navigate fixtures and how we make it easier
- You have considered retail health and safety principles ensuring the best possibility for planograms to be implemented 'right' first time'
- Organised and efficient to manage the visual live builds to time and present well executed live plans to key stakeholders
- You contribute to the improvement and utilisation of new merchandising practices
- Efficient and timely response to all queries
- Comfortable with numbers and quick to adapt to tools and systems easily
- PC literate with working knowledge of Excel desirable
- Knowledge of merchandising software e.g. JDA desirable
- An appreciation for good VM (Visual Merchandising) desirable
