The role of Housing Assistant Officer has a competitive pay rate of £14.21 Payee. Other benefits include excellent training and support for career development and 21 days of holiday (excluding Bank Holidays). Overview of Housing Assistant Officer: 1. To support the capture, priority and action on tenancy, and leasehold issues liaising with partners and other internal and external service providers, adhering to corporate and statutory timescales. 2. To assist in the operation and maintenance of databases and any other records including the rent collection system to ensure that information on systems is up to date. 3. To provide telephone duty rota cover 4. To issue fobs to customers as and when required. 5. To work with tenants/resident's associations, to ensure a prompt appropriate response to their issues of concern. 6. To deal effectively with initial enquiries by customers approaching the Housing Department for advice/ assistance 7. Undertake low level actions to prevent arrears and other housing management activities. 8. To carry out Tenancy Audits, Vulnerable Visits and Settling-in visits. 9. To support housing officers with Gas Access and EICR compliances. 10. To undertake all reasonable management requests as required 11. To take payments - setting up direct debits, processing cheques " An understanding of the service delivery, Government Policy, Legislative frameworks, and key issues, including equalities issues, relevant to the management of Housing Tenancies. " Knowledge of housing and related public sector legislation " Knowledge of basic repairs and maintenance issues in relation to homes and estates. " Awareness of the needs of minority groups and of issues that may provide a barrier to meeting needs. " Commitment to ensuring that all groups in the community receive high quality housing management services. " High standard of personal presentation.
