Outwood Academy Riverside is an 11-16 provision which opened in September 2020 as part of the Free Schools Programme. As part of the Outwood Grange Academies Trust, the academy provides an exceptional provision for young people in our local community, ensuring Students first: raising standards and transforming lives in the heart of Middlesbrough. We are recruiting exceptional individuals who will join the founding team members here at Riverside. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity and one that is quite unique.

We wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our Inclusion team. The purpose of the post is to carry out a range of duties that enable students with learning needs to achieve their potential. An empathetic approach to students with additional learning needs is an essential requirement of the post. The role will involve delivering targeted support to students within the classroom setting and working with students individually or in small groups.

There is an Academic rigour which is expected from all members of staff. Students are not capped by their key stage and are developed further to achieve more. There is an expectation that staff fully challenge students and that they strive to be locally and nationally recognised in their roles.
