**About the Role**
Ty Machen, a pleasant bungalow surrounded by beautiful grounds is situated in the small village of Machen, a short distance from the city of Newport. This residential service provides support to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, challengingbehaviour and complex health needs.
Individuals are encouraged to be a part of their local community and to utilise the local amenities, either on their own, with support, or in groups. e.g. swimming, bowling, cinema visits, eating out and trying new activities. The focus is very much on supportingpeople to achieve their goals and aspirations and to have positive outcomes. To increase confidence and to get involved in daily living skills, individuals at Ty Machen are actively involved in cooking and general household duties.
You’ll be responsible for supporting an inclusive lifestyle within the community as individuals attend local colleges or day trips out. Develop greater independence and daily living skills by assisting with the upkeep of the service, preparing meals, shoppingand domestic duties. Providing help with personal care such as washing, bathing and dressing whilst working across various shift patterns including early, late and weekend or night shifts. Full time and part time positions are available.

It is a requirement that all workers within the Health and Social Care Sector are registered with Social Care Wales. Consensus Support Services will reimburse you the registration fee of £30.
