Our brand-new kitchen is fully equipped, and we have established excellent relationships with local suppliers to ensure we have access to the finest meat, fish, and vegetables.

**Role Overview**:
As a Nursery Cook, you will play a central role in creating a positive and nourishing food experience for the children in our nursery. You will be responsible for planning and preparing fresh, simple, and nutritionally balanced meals (lunches) that cater to the dietary needs of young children.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan weekly menus that offer variety and cater to the nutritional needs of young children.
- Prepare and cook meals using fresh and locally-sourced ingredients.
- Ensure the highest standards of food hygiene and safety are maintained at all times.
- Adapt menus to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies.
- Foster a positive food culture by engaging children in food-related activities and encouraging healthy eating habits.
- Collaborate with the nursery team to create a welcoming dining atmosphere.
- Maintain inventory and manage kitchen supplies efficiently.
- Stay up-to-date with current best practices in early childhood nutrition.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Food Hygiene and Safety Certification is essential.
- A passion for cooking and providing nutritious meals.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Creativity in designing appealing and nutritious meals.
- A commitment to creating a positive and nurturing food environment for children.

**Salary**: £11.00-£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 32 per week
