**JohnJasper Care** currently recruiting **experienced Children's and Young Person Support Workers** on behalf of a growing North East specialist supported living provider. The services that we are recruiting for are in **Newcastle upon Tyne**, **supporting Children and Young People with Learning Disabilities and Challenging Behaviours.**

We are looking for **experienced** and values led **Children's and young person Senior support worker** to be part of their long term team.

**The shifts are on a rolling rota working 7am to 11pm (35 hours per week, 7 days over 3 weeks, 2,2,3), including weekends, plus 1-2 Sleep ins per week, £45 per sleep**

**Starting rate is £12.00 per hour, rising to £13.00ph after probationary period. Weekly pay first 12 weeks. Remote online registration process. *Quick** **starts available for those with DBS on update service**

- **NVQ level 2 or 3 in Children and young people.**:

- **Senior Support worker experience.**:

- **DBS certificate.**:

- **Drivers licence.**:

- **Support Work experience, including learning disabilities and challenging behaviours.**:

- **Happy to support with personal care.**:

- **Excellent Communication Skills.**:

- **Be able to problem solve in challenging situations.**:

- **Use their own initiative.**

**Essentials**
- **Right to work in the UK**:

- **At least 12 months’ previous paid experience working in a care environment in the UK within the last 2 years.**:

- **Referee contact details covering the past three years.**:

- **Driving license**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £12.00-£13.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Newcastle upon Tyne: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
