Saint-Gobain Insulation UK offer an extensive range of insulation solutions and services, marketed under the Celotex and ISOVER brands.

The overall purpose of the role is responsibility for the design, development, installation, commissioning of automation systems and hardware for automated technology for the global roll out of Industry 4.0 at Saint Gobain. The development and optimisationof these systems to improve process performance will be fundamental to the success of this role.

**Key Result Areas**:

- Manage the development, documentation, implementation, test, and Industry 4.0 software, ensuring alignment with Global Standards latest versions are installed, and back-ups are retained for the following:

- PLCs
- Inverter drives,
- Servo Drives,
- Programmable safety systems
- Operator interface (HMI) screens.
- SCADA / DCS system.
- Delivery of the above (project delivery) is expected to be approximately 70% of the role.
- Work closely with vendors of Automation equipment to ensure deliverables meet project requirements, including the interfacing of new Automation equipment with existing site systems.
- Develop project schedules and document trackers to manage and control project deliverables.
- Participate in Hardware and Software FATs and SATs to ensure client requirements and standards are met; aligned to SG global standards / requirements.
- Monitor the performance of automated systems. Work with suppliers and the operations team to ensure optimum performance of plant and all equipment, ensuring mínimal down time, proper documentation and version control.
- Be proactive in predicting, detecting, reporting and diagnosing potential and existing software and electrical problems on all equipment to identify issues and faults, solve problems, and increase the reliability, availability, and utilisation of the plant
- Support the plant and service engineers by sharing knowledge, and assisting in fault finding and problem solving during breakdowns. This is expected to be approximately 30% of the role.
- Support (where applicable) the Engineering Team to ensure both the Control & Instrumentation and LV distribution network is maintained in a compliant manner and, where necessary, any modifications are controlled in line with best practice standards.
- To be a key member during department and business audits and ensure the Engineering department comply with any recommendations.

**Qualifications required from you**:

- 10 + years' experience
- Experience of the Electricity at Work Act and the duties of a site Electrical Duty Holder.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, C&G 2391 & 2392 (Pts 1 & 2) or equivalent (C&G 2394 / 2395).
- Experience in utilizing Management of Change Procedures
- Experience of World Class Manufacturing including RCA would be beneficial
- Degree Level Electrical/C&I Engineering (preferred)
- NEBOSH Qualifications (preferred)
