Coventry University Enterprises Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Coventry University Group and is looking to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join our Estates and Facilities Team, the team which provides the essential functions, spaces, facilities, infrastructure, and expertise to create a world class experience for customers across our campuses.

**The Role**:
The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the provision of a highly effective mechanical engineering maintenance service to the full range of the Group’s buildings, from our Art Deco 1880’s Ellen Terry building to our state of the art modern education facilities

The postholder will take responsibility and lead on improvement projects across the portfolio of buildings including the project management of in house mechanical installation, refurbishment and upgrade projects. They will also manage the compliance assurance on a range of assets such as; Landlord’s Gas Safety Certificates and Commercial boiler maintenance schedules whilst interpreting and resolving complex infrastructure and technical problems.

We work in an ever-changing environment, the ability to solve problems and make decisions pragmatically and react is therefore essential.

**You will also require**:

- Extensive experience of servicing and maintenance of mechanical systems and Business Management Systems (BMS)
- The ability to provide leadership and direction, training and coaching
- Ability to deliver minor works projects including preparation of specifications and costs estimations.
- Knowledge of relevant current legislation and practices including current Health and Safety Legislation, Risk Management, ACOP L8 Legionella, PUWER, LOLER, COSHH regulations etc.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels

**The certification required to complete the duties of the post including;**
- GCSE English and Maths or equivalent,
- City and Guilds Level 3 qualification in heating and ventilation or equivalent
- Relevant A C S qualifications or equivalent
- Domestic & Commercial ‘Gas Safe’ certification
