The post holder will work with the Chief-Investigator on an NIHR funded project: Detecting and responding effectively to domestic abuse in mental health settings (DREAMS). This is a mixed methodological study, undertaking research with professionals who work in mental health settings, and survivors of domestic abuse. The role will comprise recruitment of participants, data collection (qualitative and quantitative), assisting with data analyses (with support), and contributing to the writing paper and reports and dissemination outputs and activities.
- To assist with the recruitment of professionals in mental health settings and survivors of domestic abuse.
- To undertake quantitative data collection. This will include collection of questionnaire data from professionals working in mental health settings.
- To assist the Chief-Investigator with the collection of qualitative data, which will include interviewing survivors of domestic abuse.
- To develop and maintain spreadsheets and other appropriate electronic data collection tools.
- To enter data collected onto a project database according to the study protocol and in keeping with the Data Protection Act.
- To support a research team in the evaluation and /or interpretation of quantitative (questionnaire) and qualitative (interview) data.
- To carry out analyses, using agreed techniques, novel approaches and/or models.
- To summarise findings, record, and disseminate where appropriate to members of the research group.
- To contribute to research outputs such as the DA identification and response framework, co-authored journal articles/technical papers/conference presentations relating to the work.
- To carry out literature searches within pre-specified parameters.
- Contribute to various other research and innovation projects.
- To work within the provisions of the Trust’s health and safety policies.
- To keep up to date with Trust policies and procedures
