The role of System Test Engineer is ultimately to ensure that all new developments have been thoroughly tested before their release. Only when the System Test Engineer is happy to proceed can the sprint be released to the production environment.

Whilst the role is predominantly inward focused towards the software itself, the System Test Engineer must understand the commercial and strategic vision of the product and take this into account in the daily tasks. The role requires agility and attentionto detail. With so many clients, any mistakes that are unknowingly published can results in adversely impacting all their clients. As such the System Test Engineer has final say on whether to release or not.

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Assess requirements, propose and implement a strategy which delivers an efficient and high-quality testing service to meet customer's expectations.
- Collaborate with Business, Operations and Development teams to ensure that the system is delivered without any functional issues.
- Actively participate in all Scrum ceremonies including Stand ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review and Retrospective.
- Experience with Manual and Web automation frameworks
- Experience in Browser Compatibility and Web Accessibility Testing
- Working knowledge of API testing tools
- Define the Scope of testing activities by producing Test Plans and prepare Test scenarios and Test cases for Functional Testing.
- Create, maintain and execute Manual regression test suite at the end of each sprint
- Ability to perform Load, Volume, Stress testing using JMeter
- Execute Automation regression suite at the end of each sprint
- Strong SQL knowledge to help with automation testing and technical support ticket resolution.
- To track progress and identify risks and issues relating to testing impacting delivery
- Report bugs to the Development team using Jira.
- Maintain all Testing artefacts for the project to comply with ISO standards.
- Clarify Adhoc queries raised by Clients/Operations/Senior Management.
- Security testing

**Experience**:
You must demonstrate experience in system or product testing of SaaS or PaaS. The System Test Engineer should be familiar with estimating and recording time and resource against planned testing and for coordinating test assets and be comfortable in bothagile and waterfall test methodology environments.

Demonstrable test experience across the full test lifecycle. With a track record of delivery in complex, challenging, cutting edge test environments, with specific focus on Software test activity.
