Transport Administrator

My client is a leading specialist in total waste management solutions. They cover a variety of sectors and we have an opportunity at our Cannock Waste Transfer Site or a Part time Transport Adminstrator.

Reporting to the Transport Manager the purpose of the role is to provide a full range of administrative and first line support to the Transport Drivers and Manager. Supporting the Transport team to achieve collections and safe transportation to the desired location compliantly and most efficiently.

**Principal duties and responsibilities**
- Maintain relevant systems by accurately inputting the required data, in addition to checking and reconciling data where appropriate and identifying and resolving any discrepancies to ensure 100% accuracy
- Liaise with the maintenance provider to book in vehicles for scheduled servicing and/or repairs
- General Administration Duties
- Generating Weekly Transport Reports
- Supporting the Drivers with day-to-day instructions and/or answering any queries in a polite and helpful manner
- Responsible for all the necessary paperwork and details of collection sites being up to date and issued as necessary to Drivers
- Cover for all transport areas when needed
- Analyse and report on driver compliance each day to the relevant Transport Manager, specifically, breaks, start and finish times
- To carry out any other duties that are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed

It is important that successful canidare will be able to fulfil the requirements below:

- Accurate weekly reporting, meeting set deadlines.
- All servicing booked in line with schedule to ensure the fleet remains compliant
- Meeting Company H & S Policy Requirements
- Employee engagement increases due to support given to assist them in their role and the manner in which they are spoken to
- Customer engagement increases with no complaints
- The department runs smoothly, and the department is consistently busy with meaningful work

The hours of work are failry flexible and can be 25 to 30 hours based over 5 days..
