The Governors of St Edwards C of E School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic hard working and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to work as part of the SEN team in this large friendly primary school.

We wish to appoint an innovative, ambitious and forward-thinking person, to work in partnership with the SENCO. You will be working with pupils across school who have additional needs and /or an EHCP plan

The successful applicant will be effective, organised, a good team worker but can use their initiative, enjoy working with children and is someone who can work well with other members of staff.

The post is to start as soon as possible.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

The ability to converse at ease with customers and service users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement of this post.

Applicants are informed that if appointed to this post their contract of employment will be with the school governing board who is the employer, and not Rochdale Council.

The role is a temporary in the first instance to 18th July 2025 due to funding for specific children.
