Head of Golf Operations

**General Role Description**

This person will work closely with all other departments at Sandford Springs, to oversee all golf related customer journeys from arrival to departure, including members, golf breaks, golf societies and casual green fees.

**Main Duties**

1. To maintain the highest standards of service for members and customers in all departments

2. To be the main point of contact for members of the golf club

3. To oversee golf days, societies, members events and competitions at Sandford Springs

4. To be very visible in front of the customer whenever possible, especially large golf days and golf breaks.

5. To be very sales driven in driving new membership, member retention and all other sales at every opportunity, to achieve company budgets.

6. Line manage the professional shop manager

7. Identify gaps in our golf offering and share ideas

8. Identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience and make the necessary changes

9. Identify areas of the golf course where improvements can be made to better serve our customers

10. To oversee the Intelligent Golf and Concept systems

11. To deliver our ‘Welcome Meeting’ and ‘farewell meeting’ to all golf breaks or arrange the delivery of this in your absence

12. To manage the team of marshals and the fleet of buggies

13. To maintain a consistently high standard in your department

14. To liaise regularly with other hotel departments, especially the marketing department, in driving sales of golf days, membership and golf breaks

15. To liaise with the PGA on behalf of Sandford Springs

16. To liaise with all relevant stakeholders and lead the production of the members diary

17. To lead by example

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
