Support Worker

**Location**: Wakefield, West Yorkshire, WF1 5NF

**Shifts**: Full-time 40 hours per week (Monday to Sunday on a rota basis)

**Pay Rate**: £12.21 - £12.47 per hour (dependent on qualifications)

As part of our team, you will help plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and fun-filled activities that promote creativity, social interaction, and well-being. Responsibilities include:

- _Shopping & Leisure: Shopping, charity shops, garden centres_*
- _Pampering & Personal Care: Nails, hair, pamper sessions_*
- _Creative & Cultural Activities: Arts and crafts, baking, drama classes_*
- _Social & Entertainment: Eating out, parties, coffee mornings, cinema_*
- _Music & Shows: Music (80s, Celine Dion), coastal visits, car shows_*
- _Outdoor & Nature: Parks and walks, gardening_*
- _Family & Community: Seeing family_*

**Role Overview**
- You’ll support adults with lots of different needs such as learning disabilities, autism, ABI and mental health
- You’ll support them to flourish in a place they call home. You’ll empower the people we support to be ambitious and live fulfilled lives
- You’ll give high-quality support tailored to people’s needs
- You’ll do activities like cooking, art or listening to music. And get out for movie nights and food outings
- You’ll provide personal care including support with continence needs; health and medication needs; handling personal possessions; finances and documents; shopping. Help them to have good levels of personal and environmental hygiene
- You’ll follow our procedures, so we give consistent, safe, and reliable care and support

**Key Skills and Experience**

**Essential**
- Good general education
- Honesty, reliability, trustworthiness, and a passion to make a difference
- Commitment to the aims and objectives of the home and of Ivolve
- Satisfactory Police Check and check against the ISA List (where applicable)
- A commitment to undertake training and development

**Desirable**
- RQF Level 2 or above in social care
- Previous experience within social care setting
- Knowledge and commitment regarding Equal Opportunities
- Knowledge of the regulatory frameworks
- Confident IT user
