**Reports to**: Front of House & Events Manager

**Hours**: 20 hours over a 5-day week

**Location**: At the Corn Exchange offices in Newbury town centre, with some visits to other sites. Hybrid working can be accommodated but a minimum of 3 days a week should be spent in the office.

**Salary**:£20,048.08

**Holiday**:28 days pro rata per annum including bank holidays plus a day off for your birthday and a wellbeing day

**Duration**: Temporary Contract - Six Months

**Deadline**: Friday 30 June

We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic team player to join us. As part of the Housekeeping team you will take ownership of the presentation of the Corn Exchange which welcomes tens of thousands of people every year. You’ll play an important part in making sure we provide our visitors with the best experience: You will take pride in your work and will help to deliver our audience commitments by creating a clean, hygienic, comfortable and friendly environment that makes you feel welcome, safe and want to stay and spend more time with us.

**Main Duties**
- Cleaning of the Corn Exchange theatre, auditorium, cinema, bars, public areas, backstage kitchen, toilets, dressing rooms, FOH kitchen, Learning Centre and offices
- Reporting of health and safety concerns and maintenance issues
- Carrying out all duties within the Corn Exchange’s Health and Safety policy and all legal requirements for hygiene.
- Provide and maintain a high standard of welcome in the building

- To adhere to the Corn Exchange’s child protection policy at all times
- To perform any other duties that may be reasonably requested

**Working Hours**

You will be working a 5-day week on a rota basis. This will include some weekends. Start time is usually 7am with slight variations during the Panto season. Times may also occasionally vary depending on business needs.

This is a temporary contract with a duration of six months with the potential to extend or to work on a casual basis
