Receptionist

To provide a professional front of house and telephone service. To answer enquiries, receive and relay messages, both in person and on the telephone, from residents families and visiting professionals, using knowledge of the Care Home procedures to maintain a professional front of house service. To meet the needs of the service of all users and take into account special requirements including communication impairments.
These are the key areas that support the purpose of the job
- Ensure that telephone calls are answered promptly, professionally and courteously, and any queries are dealt with
- Ensure that all information required by the Company is prepared by the required time, i.e. photocopying/faxing/filing for staff members to be completed in a timely manner
- To assist the Home Manager/Administrations Manager with clerical and secretarial duties as time allows
- To recognise that the post holder will have access to confidential, personal and/or sensitive information which must not be disclosed to any unauthorised individual or agency
- Liaise with visitors, family members, visiting professionals and outside agencies
- To assist the administration team as required
- Always keep reception area tidy.
- To be familiar with relevant Operational, Personnel, Health and Safety Policies and Procedures including Fire, COSHH, No smoking and alcohol policies
The above list are key areas that are a broad representation. Additional responsibilities will be agreed from time to time as the needs of the Home dictate. Any major variation to the key tasks will be discussed further with appropriate training.

Pay: £11.44 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
